Citation: For leadership and technical contributions that paved the way for robust laser-plasma accelerators (LPAs), and for pioneering their applications as high-brightness injectors and free-electron laser drivers, resulting in demonstration of coherent gain in an LPA-driven FEL.
2023 Early Scientific Career: Kanupriya Pande
Citation: For the development of a new algorithm that allows fully automated and robust alignment and reconstruction of X-ray tomography data without the need for alignment markers. This enables analysis of previously unusable data and yields high-res 3D reconstructions.
2023 Early Scientific Career: Archana Raja
Citation: Dr. Raja’s research has provided novel pathways into controlling energy, charge and information transport within 2-D solids on the length scale of individual electrons by utilizing 2-D material heterostructures and their sensitivity to the local environment.
